The Seville Aquarium has opened registration for its summer camp, which this year features the guitar fish as its protagonist, an endangered species that needs our help to avoid disappearing from nature.
As in previous years, the aquarium offers an activity where children become real biologists, carrying out various activities to learn about ocean conservation and protection. But this edition comes loaded with many surprises. The children will have the opportunity to be part of the team of “The Rebel Big Guitars”, a rock group that seeks to tell the world that the situation of the guitar fish can still be reversed.
The camp has scheduled a lot of activities for children who want to experience a different summer and have an incredibly good time: they will visit all the aquarium facilities, including areas that no one can see; learn to identify all the animals from different ecosystems and become part of the team of biologists, learning everything about the most mysterious species of the sea. They will also conduct research activities with different biological samples and develop their artistic skills in workshops related to the marine environment. Five days in which they will learn about the conservation and protection of the guitar fish, and make lots of friends.
This activity, aimed at children between 5 and 13 years old, is planned from Monday to Friday, from June 26 to 30 and from July 3 to 7 (weekly camp). The offered schedule is from 08:30 to 14:30 with the possibility to extend until 15:00. The camps have a price of 125 € per week, including the cost of all activities and materials to carry them out.
All information can be found on the aquarium’s website (www.acuariosevilla.es). To reserve a place or to receive more information, the available phone number is 955 44 15 41 or via email at reservas@acuariosevilla.
THE GUITAR OF THE SEA

It is a critically endangered species, that is, on the verge of disappearing from nature, and for this reason, the Seville Aquarium has launched a conservation and outreach project to raise awareness about this species with the aim of reversing this worrying situation, preventing the last populations from disappearing.
