Sustainable Tourism, Central Theme of the Upcoming Event at the Seville Aquarium
On December 15th, the Seville Aquarium organizes its first event with tourism and sustainability as the central theme. An initiative that is part of the “Sosteniblue” project launched by the Seville center this year, which aims to raise awareness about the importance of being sustainable in all daily activities to help combat climate change.
The event, titled “Creating Sustainable Tourism”, is sponsored by Tourism of Andalusia, as part of its General Plan for Sustainable Tourism, which aims to promote it as a strategic sector of the Andalusian economy, generating employment and economic development.
The event is presented as a learning space to address this new aspect of tourism as a development strategy. But this event is not only intended for professionals from SMEs who are committed to sustainability in their business plans, but also for final-year university students (from areas such as tourism or sustainability) who want to be part of the change.
The objective of this project is to learn about the necessary tools to enhance sustainability in tourism companies and thus advance in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations within the 2030 Agenda. For this purpose, industry professionals will share their knowledge and experiences in the following areas:
– Environment and Sustainability in tourist settings
– Communication and Marketing in a sustainable company
– Sustainability as a profitable resource for your company
– Design and development of a sustainability project for your company’s environment
The event will be held at the Global Omnium Auditorium (located in the Seville Aquarium) and registration is free (until capacity is reached) for both university students and entrepreneurs from tourism SMEs.
