Christmas at the Seville Aquarium
The Seville Aquarium greeted Christmas this morning from inside the Oceanarium, thus beginning its program of Christmas activities. As in previous years, several divers from the aquarium’s biology and conservation team entered the main tank to wish all visitors happy holidays, but this year they were accompanied by an underwater tree.
This was the first of the activities scheduled for this Christmas, which will include varied proposals such as workshops, face painting, interactive storytelling, and a visit from Chelo (the aquarium’s mascot). Additionally, on several days, children will be able to enjoy the jellyfish exhibition alongside one of their favorite cartoons, SpongeBob SquarePants.
There will also be gifts for all visitors. Those who bring their letter for the Sea’s Three Wise Men to the aquarium’s “Royal Mailbox” will be entered into a draw for a Night with Sharks for one adult and one child. They can also participate in a draw for a guided tour for 4 people by placing their best wishes on the wishing tree.
And as a new feature this year, the Seville Aquarium will also be part of the Seville City Council’s Alumbra Program. All families strolling through the Alameda de Hércules will encounter a sleigh pulled by light jellyfish where they can take photos and enjoy the following activities: on December 22 and 23 (from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM) a marine Santa Claus will collect letters from the little ones; on December 29 and 30 (from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM) they can participate in a recycling workshop called “Christmas Jellyfish”.
