The Aquarium Begins to Fill the Tanks with Saltwater
The Aquagestión Group has begun to fill the 40 tanks that will make up the Seville Aquarium. Following the arrival of a tanker ship with more than 3.5 million cubic meters of saltwater, the Aquarium’s maintenance and biology team carried out the simultaneous release of water into the different tanks.
The water, which comes from the coastal area of Cádiz, specifically from Conil de la Frontera, has been selected by the Aquarium’s Biology team in collaboration with the Marine Biology Laboratory of the University of Seville, as it is high-quality saltwater for the maintenance of more than 10,000 animals that will inhabit the Seville Aquarium.
After the arrival of the water and the filling of the tanks, all filtration systems have been activated. These will be responsible for maintaining the water quality parameters within optimal ranges to ensure the proper survival of all species.
