Inauguration of the Seville Aquarium
The Seville Aquarium opened its doors on September 30th, welcoming over eight thousand visitors during its first weekend. The reception from visitors has been very positive, with hundreds of Sevillian families being the first to meet the inhabitants of the Seville Aquarium.
In these first days, many people of all ages have visited the Seville Aquarium, showing interest in the seven thousand marine animals displayed in the aquarium’s 35 tanks. The main tank, the Oceanarium, has sparked particular interest, where children and adults have been able to enjoy the two bull shark specimens, in addition to the other species swimming in its two million liters of water.
Another noteworthy fact is that the Seville Aquarium website (www.acuariosevilla.es) received more than 15,000 unique visits on its first day, and over one hundred and forty-six thousand page views in just the first 24 hours of being published on the Internet.
