“Ocean without Plastics” Project

“Ocean without plastics” is the project for secondary education (Secondary and High School). It is a program in which you can work with your class throughout an entire course for a plastic-free ocean. The main objective is the conservation of the marine environment, and therefore one of its biggest threats will be addressed: marine litter, and within this, microplastics.

Activity development

The project is carried out in the aquarium and in your school:

  • The aquarium phase consists of a guided tour and a workshop “Marine Conservation and Microplastics”.
  • In the school phase, you will have to develop a project on sustainability, marine litter, or environmental education. At the end of the course, it will be sent to the aquarium and after being evaluated by an expert committee on marine conservation, the “Blue Institute Friend of the Oceans” distinction will be awarded to the winning project.
