Science Week

Amphibians.

Once again, the Seville Aquarium is taking part in Science Week., the largest annual science outreach event in Europe. An initiative involving numerous research-related organizations, coordinated by the Fundación Descubre (Discover Foundation.

This year, Science Week at the Seville Aquarium spotlights the amphibian kingdom, which includes species that live across two environments, typically land and water. Although frogs are the most well-known, this group also includes other animals such as salamanders, newts, gallipatos, and axolotls, among many others.

All amphibians are currently threatened. Their main threats include deforestation and climate change. Through the exhibition "Amphibians", visitors can learn which species are critically endangered, why amphibians are important, how we can help them, and many of their most remarkable traits and characteristics.
