The Seville Aquarium Celebrates Environmental Education Week

Jan 21, 2021 | News

Reconnecting with Nature is the Beginning

January 26th is World Environmental Education Day and the aquarium wants to celebrate it by contributing its “grain of marine sand”, but what is environmental education and why is it so important for the Sevillian center?

Oceans face multiple threats daily that alter the natural balance of their ecosystems. Environmental education provides the necessary knowledge to make us aware and sensitive towards a more sustainable life, making us understand that we are part of nature and that making small gestures in our daily activities can make a big difference in the conservation of the marine environment.

At the Seville Aquarium, they carry out this educational work daily, creating environmental awareness in everyone who visits them through education programs, information that can be found throughout the tour, and the activities they carry out.

TICKET PROMOTION
The aquarium wants us to celebrate this week, from January 25th to 31st, in a special way and learn about everything we can do to achieve a better, more sustainable and livable world. To this end, they are launching a special ticket promotion at €12 for adults and €8 for children, which can be obtained through their official website (www.acuariosevilla.es).

RAISING AWARENESS ON SOCIAL MEDIA
In addition, throughout the week, environmental tips will be published on the aquarium’s various social media channels so that we can reconnect with nature and help conserve it from our homes.

SAFE EXPERIENCE
The aquarium continues to ensure that visitors have a safe visit to their facilities and therefore continues to comply with all necessary safety and hygiene measures. All these measures can be consulted on the aquarium’s website before the visit or at the facilities themselves.
