The Seville Aquarium Joins the “United for Biodiversity” Coalition
Following the success of the aquarium coalition against plastic pollution in 2017, the European Commission has launched an important initiative “United for Biodiversity”, a global coalition to inform the public about biodiversity conservation (what it is and why it’s important) and raise awareness about the current nature crisis, in order to get world leaders to take action to address this situation.
The Seville Aquarium has joined the campaign as an ambassador to raise awareness about the devastating effects of human action on the natural environment through various conservation and education actions.
This coalition represents a very important recognition for zoos and aquariums as they are acknowledged as direct and fundamental agents in the preservation of biodiversity.
