The Seville Aquarium Organizes a Beach Cleanup to Celebrate Earth Day
The Seville Aquarium wants to conclude its latest awareness campaign (“22 ways to save the planet”) with an action in which different audiences can collaborate, and has therefore organized a beach cleanup day to raise awareness, inform, and take action on marine litter.
This action is planned as sustainable, as the Sevillian center aims to minimize its carbon footprint. For this purpose, it will have the collaboration of two companies committed to the environment: the bus company ROSABUS, which will altruistically provide one of its buses to transport volunteers, and the fruit shop and gourmet space “Quién da la vez” which will donate fruit for the day.
The action, which will take place on Friday, April 29, on the coast of Huelva, will also be carried out in collaboration with the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, as part of their project “Actions for conservation, improvement of knowledge of the marine environment and environmental protection of marine habitats and species and protected marine areas”
The day will begin with the collection of various types of litter found in the selected area (La Bota beach in Punta Umbría) to subsequently classify and quantify them. This action aims to raise awareness about the impact of human activity on marine environments and the growing problem of marine litter that affects more living beings each year.
All those who want to participate can sign up until all available spots are filled at www.acuariosevilla.es. For more information, you can contact through the email marketing@acuariosevilla.es
