The Seville Aquarium Receives its First Bull Shark

The Seville Aquarium continues to receive marine animals that will inhabit its waters to complete its zoological collection. Joining the specimens already swimming in its tanks is the first bull shark specimen.

Margarida is a Carcharias taurus, better known as a bull shark, weighing about 200 kg and measuring approximately 2.70 meters. An animal that comes from the Zoomarine Aquatic Park (Albufeira, Portugal) and will live from today in the main tank of the Seville Aquarium.

The transfer is one of the most complicated that the Aquarium’s biology team will carry out, due to the dimensions and dangerousness of the animal itself, as well as the complexity of the transport.
